We spent a quiet final day in Thailand. I got my hair cut and an old-fashioned shave in the morning. Then we finished shopping. The hard rain got worse through the day, but has cleared up now in the evening. We went swimming during one of the breaks in the rain, but otherwise stayed in our hotel room packing and reading. Tonight, we went for a final Thai massage -best one yet. Then we went out for a very fancy dinner that was surprisingly poor for the money and have terrible service, especially for Thailand. If you ever visit Ko Samui, avoid Baan Thai restaurant in central Chawang.

Hopefully, I can check in from Seoul. If not, I'll post again from East Lansing in 1 1/2 days with my final notes on Thailand and a link to the photo blog.

the trip home
Just wanted to say have a safe trip home. I'm glad most of your trip went well. The week ahead is only forcast for the 30's and 40's with snow flurries. I'm having Thanksgiving dinner at home this year as two kids and a new puppy will not work well at the cottage in this weather. Bridget has to work. She has Christmas eve and day off. Dad and I plan to go to the cottage either Thursday night or Friday morning for the week-end though. We hope you can come home for dinner and then go to the cottage too. Collin is always welcome too-for turkey dinner or the week-end. See you soon! Love, mom
