Had a lovely four days in Phi Phi, staying on the main Island Phi Phi Don. Hired a long boat and driver for one of the days to take us across the Phi Phi Lay, was definately worth going over there. The Maya beach, featured in the Beach is nice but, no better than any of the other beaches really. The boat driver also took us to a large cove a bit further around the island-was absolutely beautiful, lots of good photos and the snorkelling was fantastic! didn't see a nemo though but lots of parrot fish, and the Dory character in finding nemo. Gemma & Nikki got scared though as there were so many fish and they thought it would be funny to throw bread around me which ended up in me being attacked by hundreds of fish - hahaha very funny! luckily they weren't the biting type. The boat trip was good fun especially when our boat drivers white trousers went see-through and he wasn't wearing any pants - as you can imagine we all got the giggles like 3 school girls. Also had a Thai massage which was not the least bit relaxing, infact really hurt-definately choosing a relaxing one next time.

Now in Koh Samui after the journey from hell, caught a night ferry from Krabi to here, which was a mistake as should have got one during the day. The boat was covered in mattresses and just as we were drifting off to sleep with our bags attached to us as we were some of the only backpackers on it (yes I know alarm bells should have probably started ringing with the fact that there weren't many backpackers) I felt something crawling on my arm, as I looked down saw a big fat cockroach crawling over me. Didn't remain calm atall, waking all the thai people up on the boat. Nikki and Gemma didn't believe me that it was a cockroach until we looked above us and saw that the boat was infested with them - Nikki almost started crying! Easy to laugh about it at the time but with little sleep it was not funny especially as the Thai people found it very amusing and kept telling us not to worry as they don't bite!As if that made a difference. Staying here for a couple of days but experiencing the wet season weather that everyone was talking about so soon moving onto Koh Pagnan

That sounds like fun! The coachroaches I can relate to. When I worked at the Royal Informary in Edinburgh the staff room for students was infested. We all smoked as it seems to calm them down ! Have fun
