So, it seems that everyone really does love the pictures! Well, since my last picture blog went over so well, I'll do another. Here's a quicky on what we did for the best day ever! This is without a doubt the highlight of our trip...so far! Shaun and I hired a Longtail boat for the day (yes, 7 full hours for about $40...such a deal) This area which happens to be the set of islands that compile the Hadnopparattara-Koh Phi Phi National Park including Phi Phi Don which is where we stayed and the largest of the islands at 28 sqm and Phi Phi Ley where there are no inhabitants and also was the setting for the movie "The Beach" (which we've yet to see, I'm sure there's a reason for that) We drew arrows on the map for our driver on where we wanted to go and stopped at our leisure to snorkel, snorkel, snorkel! We threw in some monkey watching, some beach combing, some yummy fruit eating and some funny English and Thai slang exchanges, just for fun! I'm gonna work on commissioning Crayola to develop an "Andaman Sea Mix", a little like Skittles and Starbursts did with their

We floated right under these over hangs and had to duck in some places
Tropical Fruit mixes. The colors here are simply amazing! From the Indigos to Teals in the water to the Ivory and Sabel in the sand to the Slate and Copper on the limestone cliffs, I hope to remember these colors as vividly as I saw them. And no, there was no Thai Sticks involved in this blog or on the Longtail Boat.

(wow! due to the extra crummy internet we've been experiencing, this post took me almost 3 days to complete. I kept getting booted and it's a good thing I persisted, cause now you all get to see just how simply devine this little side trip from our vacation was.)

I suggest to click on the thumbnail of "Lana Bay" and "Perimeter of this little gem" to enlarge them to really enjoy!! Well actually, you should just click on the first picture and watch the whole slideshow enlarged. That's just me though.

This is a Sea Gypsy Village. Equipped with a dock, a fishing hole, sleeping quarters (I assume) and all these little bamboo bridges to cross.
