The Beach

Right so after Laos which nearly killed us we headed south back into thailand and to the islands. first stop was ko tao where did our PADI openwater dive course, incredible sensation, highlight was swimming with a sea turtle 12m under. Had a pretty wild day for Songkran - (Thai new year), basically the whole island just has a huge waterfight with paint and tooth paste. great laugh, somthing that just wouldnt happen in england. running the lady boy gaunlet from our hotel to the beach was also an interesting experience. next was ko phangan, it was quite a 10 days we spent their. offcourse full moon was the highlight, best night ever, raving to the sunrise covered in UV paint, cant really explain it to be honest. the combination of buckets which were being downed like soft drinks by the end of the week, constantly staying up for the sunrise and our bungalow which by the end had no fan and a blocked toilet ment leaving the island when we did was very necessary. met loads of quality people there so it was hard leaving in a storm to krabi. but when we arrived in krabi and our room had a fan and a toilet that flushed and the best shower in asia our spirits were lifted. did some deep water soloing the next day which is bascially rock climbing without ropes over water, great fun but a lot harder than it looks. then headed over to phi phi where we are now. managed to get myself punched again this time in the mauy thai boxing ring fighting this guy we met from ipswich. did it for a free bucket but i dont think any of us touched the bucket as it completey knocks you for six, great fun though, got a black eye for my troubles aswell. visted the beach where the beach film was made, really beautiful actually. heading back to singapore tomorrow then onto oz to start our campervan adventure. hope everyone is well x
