So last time we updated yee we were off to Koh Phi Phi, decided to take one of the government 12 hour bus (advice from internet, less likely to get robbed on these services)journeys to Krabi, the jump off point for a boat to koh phi phi We even did it in style a double decker bus with only 24 seats, so all of them fully reclined, waiter service with free drinks n food and even a lounge downstairs on the bus, really nice. The waiter guy couldnt do enough for us, helped us find the right bus (Bankok Southern bus terminal is something out of the 1800s, they are knocking it in a few months), kept making sure that we were really comfortable coming over and adjusting our seats. hmmmm .... never trust an over friendly thai person, turns out he also helped himself into our bags as we slept. Thought we'd been as careful as we could have been, had locks on our bags in the luggage hold and brought all valuables on the bus had the bags tied to my leg and shoved them down between the seats between me and Elaine as we slept, it wasnt only till we arrived in koh phi phi that we realised that 200 dollars was missing from my bag. Thought I must have misplaced it somewhere but it wasnt untill I noticed 15 euro missing from my wallet that we realised someone had dipped into our bags. No thai money or other valuables were taken just the cash we wouldnt immediatly miss was taken. Have no doubt it was the guy on the bus now looking back. Woke up twice to find him very helfully adjusting our seats to make us more comfortable. Conviently enough our reading lights were the only ones on the bus that didnt work so we couldnt read and just go a sleep. Before getting on the bus he even went out of his way to staple a note onto our tickets saying mind valuables at all times as they were not responsible for any loss. A true professional. And we were feeling bad for not tipping him! ... Its not too bad as we can get the money back on our insurance, tried to report it to police here who really couldnt care less. wouldnt even fill out a police report, they were too busy eating

Planning our escape route just in case :p
and relaxing, said we'd have to go back to bangkok, thanks guys!! .. all part of the experience!!! :D

So we've been relaxing here for a few days, takes a little while to get into the slow pace here but I think we've managed it very nicely. A healthy routine of morning swims, brekfast bit of sight seeing then a few fire shows or thai boxing over a few beers. Its Elaines birthday today, shes quite old now so will have to take it easy today :p gona chill with a few massages and some fine dinning tonight and then a snorkling/boat trip over the weekend around the islands and gona do a thai cooking course in one of the restaurants here. Will probably stay here until late next week and then jump across to Koh Lanta for some more relaxing ..... ooooh ya!
