First night in Bangkok met up with a mixed bag of germans and english on Kao San Road. This is Alan he's my new best friend .. ?
So we made it in one piece!!! Arived tired, and hungover in bangkok on thursday 9th Aug... but our bags didnt. Have to say we were genuinely delighted!! not having to carry them, and realising we could actually do without them altogether if needs be. We are always good with carry on stuff, so have toothbrushes, extra undies etc, and shorts to change into! So got bus into bangkok, khao san (tourist spot), and down to new siam 1 with our arms swinging, and got ourselves nice cheap room, with share bathroom, and a fan... being budget savvy, and sticking to planned spend!! Beer is interfering with it a little, but sure, we're no angels, we'll do our best!
Bags arrived anyhoo yesterday, gave us a welcome change out of sweaty clothes!
So we've been to aquarium - see photos, gone on the river express boat down the big river, and a speedy longtail boat down smelly canal... thought i was gonna fall in! Twas an adventure tho - one that i nearly chickened oot of, and would have regretted!
Anyway wont waffle on, we're planning on an overnight bus tmrw night to krabi - 12hours but has air con and

Planin our next move back at the hotel, goin cheap cheap at hotel , no aircon shared bathroom, bit sticky at night but not too bad, sure u cant go wrong for 3,50euro each a night!
reclining seats, (tis officially vip - bout 20 euro each methinks), then maybe a night there and onto ko phi phi...paradise i'm told.. then we may indulge in some massages and foot and body scrubs and self pampering!!!
Hope ye are all not missing us too much... thanks again to each of you for the great send off!! Made it all the harder to leave yee, and will make it easier to return when the time comes.
