Just arrived Coral bungalows, Ko Pha-N. Let the cocktails flow!
Time to party :-)

Left Phuket via flight with Bangkok airlines to o Samui where we took a bus then ferry to the party capital of the islands, home of the famous "full moon party". We met Sar & Ross at our pre-booked accommodation, Coral Bungalows and watched our first island sunset over more Thai curries. We quickly realized Coral Bungalows is home to the famous "pool parties" 18-30s style.....ok guys, we're in for a noisy, alcohol fuelled few days!

We spent our first day on the Reggae boat trip which came highly recommended by Ross and the rough guide and it definitely didn't disappoint. First stop was on a beach with a small trek up to some waterfalls where we were convinced to cool in the apparantly magic healing pools-shame my sunburn has finally subsided. We enjoyed a nice fresh Pad Thai and fresh coconut (collected and prepared by Ross after a little tour on the bay....thanks Ross, delicious). We were all very impressed with the snorkeling on this trip where we saw lots of parrot and clown fish, the ones I chaise around thinking they are Nemo's. Kat and I finished the trip with pedicures and the

"waxing experience" on a smear examination table! Found a fabulous, very small authentic restaurant (shack at the end of our road) and had another fabulous very spicy red curry where our waitress became the chef and dishwasher and she only looked about 12, probably was. Sampled the nightlife on Sunrise beach with a few cocktails while "people watching" in amazement- lady boys at work, fire tricks involving rope/hoops and very drunk brave boys with occasional woman, musical chair games and lots of malibu/pineapple buckets. My lasting memory of that night will always be Sarah's face of utter shock when she was caught in the act of snapping a lady boy, all very entertaining!

Following day was very chilled in preparation for the Half Moon Party which unfortunately wasn't. The evening begun at 10 with a carefully planned meal to line our tums, followed by flowing buckets, this time vodka/redbull knowing it was going to be a long night. Next the UV body paint came out and we all went back to our nursery days and decorated our bodies, the table and floor with paint. Loved it and by the end we all looked the part, even with a few

splodges! We all piled into pick up truck and headed for the jungle only to be met by a complete pile up as the military had closed the party!! All dressed and ready to rock thousands about turned and headed for beach as our new half moon party destination. Five hours later we we at "chicken corner" with the herds ordering chicken pittas in our drunken states, most of which the dogs got! Hangovers were the theme of our final day on Ko Pha-Ngan until we realized it was the night of the Coral pool party with a storm which ended in a power cut. Margaret's travelling torch was certainly utilised that night.
