Drowned rats!Drowned rats!Drowned rats!

1 postively WHITE and 1 postively brown! Mum.....fake tan please!!?
Time to head back to Thailand-craving for more red curries allready and cheaper beds!!!

So we arrived in Phuket airport (From Densapar, via KL), knowing it was Songkran, a Thai public holiday and NY celebration but we were not prepared!! Journey to Kata beach where we decided to stay took hours as everyone was out in their pick up trucks drenching everything or one who dared to venture outdoors, i.e whether u were suited and booted and on way to work or whether carrying a baby, noone was except....basically everyone was drenched!! Great fun-we were desperate to join in action, locals were using anything from water guns, to buckets, to full blown hoses and motor powered water jets! We dumped our bags in our new boudoir ( adump, prob ranked as no 2 on worst accom scale), but who cares we ventured out to join fun....we took 3 steps outside thinking we'd get a little wet....total under estimation-I was lifted into an ice bucket and dunked! Yes, now imagine a drown rat walking streets....photos hopefully cover it! Thank god its hot here! We then spotted familar "drowned rats", it was Sar & Ross, so good to see familiar faces, even

In Phuket....looks fab from outide....inside left a little to imagination!
it we were all soaked and still being attacked through our conversations!! How random to bump into each other there...we had planned to meet in Ko Phangnan but so nice to catch up earlier :-) .Finally seemed to die down and give us achance to dry off and head for red curries that we were craving.....ahh, feels like home (ok think I may need shares in tamponoo in traf cen!). Pretty sleepless night-argueing S African couple next door smashing plates and everything breakable at 4am.....a decision was made-we're moving!

New Year's day was interesting around town...felt a little like a ghost town, lots of sleeping locals who are normally up by at least 4am so 10 felt a little odd. Moved accom to Sharky GH and headed for beach day to Kata-manage to grab a boogie board (without paying) and have a go! Gr8 fun....managed to return while guys back turned, we're becoming pros....at lending! Met Sar And Ross for cocktails, dinner and BIG catch up. Fantastic exchanging stories, hearing all about their Everest Trek and planning our partying on the Islands. For a moment, mojito in hand I felt like I was back in Knutsford Wine Bar................
