back in chumphon

got back to chumphon on sunday afternoon! bangkok was awesome - had such a good time!! spent far too much money though but it was lots of fun!! we did a lot of shopping (i went to the MBK centre 3 days in a row - woops!!!) but we did some sightseeing too!! we went to the grand palace and walked round that, saw the emerald buddha etc etc (full of bloody japanese snap happy tourists though which got a bit annoying after a while!!), then we took the boat down the river and went to Wat Triamit temple which has a gold buddha 3m tall! that night we also went to Lebua State Tower building which has a bar called the Sky Bar on the 64th floor...the bar hangs out off the edge of the building but i stayed well clear and just took in the views coz i was convinced if i stood on it, it would fall off!!!!! that night we also went to patpong market which was a bit of a disappointment - all the fakes were just too fake!! kia flew home on saturday morning and so saturday afternoon me jo and chelsea went shopping at MBK again!! i did try and behave but instead i bought a camera (yeay - a Sony CMD - a red one and its sooooo cool!! still need to figure out how to work it though - you can record stuff, play music, games, as well as taking photos - far too technical for my wee brain!!!) and i bought some handbags (D&G ones which are awesome fakes but we wont tell anyone that!!) all in all had a really good time in bangkok - its a crazy city with so much going on. the driving is attrocious and im surprised we didnt see any accidents - we did see several very near misses though!!
the plan for me travelling home is this...on thursday im taking the train with chelsea upto bangkok which arrives in at 1945..we will then get a taxi to the Alexander Hotel which is near the airport and chelseas staying there on thursday night - but I'll get something to eat, get a shower and then go to the airport in time to check in about midnight!! bit worried about my bag though coz i dont think it's gonna make it home in one piece - it already has a slight hole in the bottom which ive patched up already so fingers crossed my DIY skills get it home in one piece!!!
so i shall be home on friday around lunchtime - quite looking forward to it actually!! see y'all then!! lots love xxxxxxxx
