James Bond Island
The island famed for featuring in 'The Man with the Golden Gun' with the handsome front-runner to replace Daniel Craig in the foreground (yeah right!). We left Koh Phangan at 10am and arrived in PhangNga at about half 6-one ferry and two buses later. We had some food and booked a tour for the following morning (our last day in Thailand!).
The tour started at half 8. We went around PhangNga and the surrounding islands on a longtail boat. The scenery was beautiful-a lot like Krabi as it is quite close. Big limestone cliffs and lovely blue-green water. We went to a brilliant cave-the inside was glittering rockand there were loads of staligmites and staligtites that look like big bats hanging from the roof. At the end of the cave there was an opening and in front of us was a big lagoon! We saw another lagoon on Koh Hong and then stopped at a lovely beach for lunch and a swim. In the afternoon we went to James Bond Island. It's a national park and is really beautiful but more famous for being the place where one of the old Bond movies was filmed. We also visited a cave with paintings that are said to be 3000 years old. They look more like someone painted them about a year ago! It was a good
Stunning cove
The stunning sweeping isolated cove that we stopped off to have lunch and swim at during our day-tour of the bay. trip all in all as we managed to see everything in just one day. As soon as we got back we got on the bus to Phuket airport. We managed to get an earlier flight and left for Singapore an hour later. A very busy day!
