Day 20

Today we had a nursing conference with several other nursing colleges in Thailand. The topic was domestic violence, so each college presented on domestic violence in their country and talked about how nurses can help to solve the problem. I thought this was a really important topic to discuss, since domestic violence is so prevalent in our world today. As future nurses, we need to be aware of this problem, and understand what we can do to help our patients that may be suffering from domestic violence. After the conference, we had lunch with the other nursing students. It was really nice to spend time talking with them and learning about their experiences. In the afternoon, we went to a nearby lake. I spent the afternoon journaling and relaxing by the water. It was a much-needed time of rest and recovery after the busy past few weeks.
