A Weekend on The East Coast This week Jack and Diane had a three day weekend, so we decided to stick around long enough to be able to go away on a brief trip with them. Since Jack and Diane live here they have the opportunity to explore areas of Thailand that the casual traveler doesn’t. With years of experience in traveling the area, they are more prepared to go off the beaten track and see smaller towns that haven’t been infested with “farang” (Thai word for foreigners). Saturday morning we set out for the south east section of Thailand about 320km from Bangkok with our final destination being a farang free town known as Khung Wiman.
