3 days in!

Arrived in Bangkok 3 days ago and were hit by the craziness of the place instantly! Were staying in what by Bangkok standards seems to be a really nice hotel...as in we've had relatively few creature invasions! We've been attempting (and mostly succeeding) in seeing the sights but we do seem to end up being put in Tuk Tuks by random thais with a map and not the so much of an idea where were heading...the people really are v friendly but sometimes its a little bit much!!

We seem to spend most of the time laughing about the situations we keep ending up in...but are considering it a learning curve!!

The Khao San road is as manic as you'd expect and were plucking up the courage to sample the local cuisine...fried maggotty things and grasshoppers!?!

The most important lesson so far: cubes of unidentifiable food (which on different occasions we have mistaken as ice...and chicken) should be avoided at all costs!
