Bangkok- day one

Finally reached Bangkok around 7pm. Spent almost an hour to finally go through the Immigration check out..

The minute stepped out the airport, I can feel a hot wave coming right at me.. the weather is steamy hot, quickly junmped into the taxi, not surprised, the driver was not willing to go by meters, after several round of negotiation with him (actually I didn't understand what he said most of times), he agreed to drop us to our hotel at 500 BHT, later been proved we were being overcharged...

HOTEL - NAVALAI RIVER RESORT - Phra Athit Road

At the first sight, I was surprised because the sign of the hotel is packed in the middle of buildings, looks likes it would be a cheap and dirty motel, and there was no sign of the river. When we checked in and finally got to our room, we know it's some boutique hotel hidden behind all those messy buildings, and our room has this amazing balcony, facing right toward the river which is also hidden unseen behind all those ulgy crowded buildings. Overall, I am quite satifised with the room, shouldn't have judged too soon just from the outside 😊

The first thing first, after dropping all the stuffs, we headed to the streets nearby, it turns out that the street nearby has all these restaurant, all style, thai food, western food, sport bars and street food (my favorit). There are people from everywhere gathered in this little street, talking, eating, watching footballs, suddenly felt we are not alone here and there are so many easy options for food, for bars and to buy local stuffs.

bought some green mangos, sweet mangos, and som other fruit only for 75BHT. It would be impossible to buy at that price in SH and nowhere to buy them... on the way back to hotel, bought some beers for our little party on the balcany latter. 😊

Tomorrow gonna take a boat to go down the river to get to Grand Palace and that famous temple.. can't wait !!
