We arrived in to Bangkok at about 5 in the morning and headed for a place called Khao San Road. It's basically like party central for backpackers. Even when we arrived there were still people on the streets selling stuff and drinking. We headed straight to the hotel as we were wrecked from that horrible bus journey. We havn't seen many sites yet but are stuck here until the 10th cause we had to get our visas for Vietnam before we get there and can't have our passports back for a week.
Anyway after 2 days here we wanted out! It's just really hectic and people are always in your face trying to sell you something or the taxi and tuk tuk drivers end up bringing you to suit shops instead of where you want to go!! I am so rude to them all now it's funny as i'm just fuc*ing sick of them.
So we booked a tour and headed to a place called Kanchanaburi for a few days. It was fantastic. The first day we got to ride on elephants. Then we went to the tiger temple where there are all these tame tigers that have been rescued and

This guy was bringing 4 of us to a night club and was doing wheelies in the tuk tuk which is basically a motor bike with a carriage on the back!!!!
raised by monks. It's so strange that you can walk around and rub them and everything. Think that was my favourite part. We also took a ride along the river on this make shift bamboo raft. It took ages but was quite funny.
That night we met Sam and Sarah (again!!), there this couple that we met all the way back in Cherating and we have accidentally bumped into them nearly every stop since!! (Hi Guys!!) We went for a few Chang beers with them and ended having a few to many!! Anyway I couldn't move outta the bed the next day (our guide was banging down the door at 7AM and I was like I'm not gettting up!!) and missed the tour but Eoin made it. They ended up cycling around for hours , he nearly died! They did get to see cool stuff though. The went to this monkey school where the monkeys can do pretty much everything. The play basket ball and drink coke and can even count!! There was a little baby gibbon who really likes men and would go over and cuddle them and just hang off them the whole time there there and then

A massive market at teh weekend where they sell absolutely everything you can imagine including squirels, dogs, lizards, clothes, knic knacks...everything.
would look really sad when they leave! She was prob trying to rob wallets or something!!!!
The next day we went to these natural hot springs that were way too hot!! We had to get out after about 5 minutes cause it was making us feel sick!! and that wasn't even the hottest pool. The thais were loving it though.
We then went to see a museum to find out about "death railway". It's this railway line that was built during WW2. It goes from Thailand to Burma through the jungle basically. The Japenese used Prisoners of war and asian people as slaves and forced them to build this railway in 16 months 100,000 people died. It was really sad but very interesting.
So we're back in Bangkok and prob should go see some sites. It's hard to get motivated in the heat and especially when you nearly have to fight with the taxi drivers so they don't bring you to any stops on route! At least we are flying to Chang Mai. A bit of comfort for once and it only taskes 1 hour as apposed to 10 on a bus. From there we're heading into Laos, then Vietnam

and Cambodia. Gonna try make it back down to Ko Phan Ngan in Thailand for the full moon party which I think is on the 12th of July, My Birthday so that whould be class. The time is absolutely flying by. Better enjoy it while it lasts.

Love to all.
