Hello everyone 😊
We made it safely to bangkok, found the guest house late last night, which turns out to be more like a cell than a guest house as we have no windows!!! and lots of writing on the walls...
After checking in we took our first walk down khaosan Road, was very busy and full of street sellers. we bought 2 pad thais with egg and chicken and three spring rolls for 105 baht (just over two pounds) then we went back to the cell for a shower and bed.
Today (thurs) we went to find breakfast and instead ended up at a travel agents booking the next 2 weeks of travel tours up to northern thailand and into laos. Our first tuk tuk ride took us to the standing gold buddha and the lucky buddha temples. went for lunch andy had a spicy red thai curry which was really HOT I opted for the less harmful vegetables and fried rice which was yum. We were then convinced by another tuk tuk driver to go on a boat ride which was good to see how the thai people lived and we even saw a crocodile. unfortunately it
then chucked it down but the driver waited for what seemed like ages under a bridge to wait it out. So it was a busy first day in bangkok, really enjoying it and finding all the people really friendly although they are usually trying to sell something.
hope everyone is ok back home, just going to get our feet sucked by fish!!! x x x
