We flew to Bankok after going back to KL from the Perhentian Islands. Got to a hotel which we thought would be cheap but it was a bit more expensive than we were expecting. After sleeping in little wooden hut for a week though we thought we would splash out and enjoy some comfort !!
Bangkok is pretty grimy an a few senses of the word, very touristy and lots of hassling going on from the stall owners and tuk tuk drivers.
We took a walk down to the Grand Palace one day and also got a trip to nearby Chanthaburi to visit the Bridge Over the River Kwai and the adjoining War Cementry (very moving) and then onto the Tiger Temple (so touristy but awesome to get close to tigers like that !!)

first day at school and trying on uniform
Charlotte starts school on the 3rd of september unsure if you are back by then but will send you photos of her trying on her uniform if thats ok? we have got shelley andy and there new baby coming down in august so charlotte will be bunking up with betheny who andy saw at our wedding when she was 8 months old crawling? shes now nearly 6 years old my god where does the time go? looks like you are having a wonderful life experience.
