Bangkok - a positive change of plan...

Hi Guys - We're fine,
Just to update those of you who watch the news. Bangkok airport has shut down due to protesters. We were supposed to fly out this afternoon to Hanoi, Vietnam, but we realized that won't happen. Since learning that this closure could continue for another couple of days, Amy and I studdied a map of South East asia, closed our eyes, and placed our index finger on a spot on the map. Vietiane, Laos is our new, next destination! We have opted for an air conditioned overnight train tonight. This spontaneous change of itinerary actually works out better since we now have the opportunity to visit another South East Asian country that we originally wanted to visit. I guess some things happen for a reason! Will still visit Vietnam and Cambodia - will just be a little more of a whistle-stop tour!
