Ahhhh!
Messing around at MBK Well we flew into Bangkok Wed. Night and got ourselves a sweet hotel with a pool. Sadly though we've been to busy to enjoy it. Thursday morning we had to go to the suit store to have matt and chad's swanky suits fitted . It took FOREVER!!! They try and keep you there for as long as they can to sell you anything. Even as the boys were leaving out the door they were offering to make them another pair of pants or a shirt. Of course Chad caved in a got a shirt!
After that we took the boys to the MBK mall to have a look around and then to the Siam Square. We at lunch at a BBQ restaurant where you fried your own food kind of like an asian fondue i guess. After that we were all really tired to so we went to a VIP Movie. It was glorious. We had leather reclining chairs, blankets and pillows. We got to order our snacks off a menu and then they served them us while we were in the theater along with our complimentary pop! It was a great way to see the New BATMAN!!!
After
Lunch Time
Chantal and Chad Digging in that we caught a Tuk tuk back to our guesthouse to get ready for the nights events. Our tuk tuk driver ended up being really friendly and offered to pick us up at nine and would take us to a Ping Pong show. He said the earlier we went the better as things get sketchy in that area of town the latter it is.
So we watched a ping pong show. All I can say is ....... WOW a whole new level of "Talent" i didn't know existed. It was something I probably not see again especially with my brother and my boyfriend... can we say awkward!!
As soon as the show was done we got out of there. Our tuk tuk driver was waiting for us and took us to a Thai night Bazaar. It's like a night market with tons of different food stands and a big stage with a bunch of Thai Bands playing. We were all drinking a bit but we were pretty sure our driver was getting drunk so nick was a good man and drank as much as he could so that the driver wouldn't drink more and we would get home
Grand Palace
Grand Palace safely.
On friday we went to the Grand Palace. It was amazing! The amount of work that goes into a single sculpture is phenomenal. We then were pretty tired so we went for massages. It was soooo nice. Then we went to the Bayoike Sky Tower Hotel. It's 88 floors high, the tallest building in Thailand and we still couldn't see the edge of the City. We spent a while there because we wanted the boys to see the city once the sun went down and all the City light up.
Once we got back we ate and then I went to bed. They boys on the other hand stayed up as it was Matt and Chad's last night in Thailand. I'm sure they were causing trouble since they didn't get back home until 5:00 AM. and matt woke up once to go to the bathroom but walked out the wrong door and ended up in the hallway locking himself out of the bedroom (I'm not defending that he was sober).
Saturday Morning the boys were exhausted but we still made the trek to the weekend market. It was huge. I mean overwhelmingly huge. It was sooo
Grand Palace
Intricate details! of the Grand Palace hot and sweaty, there was tons of people, tons of vendors and no one was feeling very well. We stayed for a while but it was just to intense so we left to pick up the boys suits.
Of course, we couldn't simply just walk in and pick up the boys suits. They made us wait for a while and tried to sell the boys more stuff saying that they would deliver it to the guest house in five hours. We were all getting irritated because we wanted to eat lunch. We ended up waiting for over an hour before we could finally leave with suits in hand. Once we got back the boys had to pack up their stuff. We went down Koh San Road for some last minute shopping and then we said our goodbyes. Matt and Chad should be arriving in Calgary 9:50 Sunday night (your time).
As for me and nick a new journey begins.. we will keep you posted!
Lots of Love!
