Checking in at Singapore Changi Airport!
It was a 6 day trip. But I will post it up anyway.

6 of us friends left for Bangkok at 2250hr on 15 Mar 2008 at Changi Airport via Air Asia.

We reached Bangkok at about 0015hr, and took a cab immediately to our guesthouse at Thong Lor BTS. On our minds were the delicious dumpling noodles that were sold at street stalls everywhere.

We reached Thong Lor in barely 20 minutes and were soon chomping down bowls and bowls on noodles! Well, call us pigs!

Take a look at the photos of Buri Bed and Breakfast guesthouse that we were staying in!

The first day we headed straight from the famous Chatuchat Weekend Market. Walked around, took photos, and the heat there was more intolerable than in Singapore! There were so many things to buy; I even wanted to buy some sweaters, but being in that heat, sweaters and scarves really put me off..

After about 2 hours of shopping in that market, we decided to give ourselves a break at MBK shopping centre. Yes we are typical Singaporeans who cannot resist air-con, good food, big malls and comfort! So we had

japanese teppanyaki at one of the restaurants. At night we went straight to PatPong, a sex street, where you see guys holding cards labeled "DVD CD SEX". As you walk down the streets, you see open door clubs with many many girls OR transexuals dancing on the stages of the pubs. Quite a wild scene, with night market stalls thronging on both sides. After PatPong, we went to Suan Lum Night Bazaar, well known for its beer garden big stage with performances, and more stalls! YES WHOLE LOT OF PLACES for the FIRST DAY! No time to be wasted!

And phew! that was the first day in Bangkok!

2nd day we went to Ekkamai Bus Station to take a bus to Pattaya with the help of some Thai young people. The bus ride took an excruciating 3 and half hours! Once we reach Pattaya, we had some good food before we headed for the sun sea and sand and some jet skiing! WHOAH, the waves were choppy and I almost flew out of my own jet ski! We checked in a guesthouse just in front of the sea at 500baht for one night. 😊 We fought in our

rooms that night. Yes, guy to guy wrestling while the girls watched! haha.. I wanted to bring Luwei down so badly but I failed, badly too.

Next day, we left Pattaya with heavy hearts, knowing that our holidays are already half gone! We left for Bangkok, walked Pratunam, Chinatown and went to the tallest building in Bangkok for some touristy stuff. Quite a great sight from the 84th floor of the building(oops i forgot the name of the building!) Had a free mocktail from the 83rd floor bar and went to the revolving roof top! BREATHTAKING view of Bangkok City! Just for 200 Baht!

The 4th and 5th day we shuttled between Khao San Road, the famous backpackers haven and ghetto, and Patpong Street, and Suan Lum Night Bazaar shopping, eating, drinking, immersing into the Thai Night Life with the Thai people! Lots of tuktuk ride on the busy roads of Bangkok! Fast, cheap and efficient!
Khao San is just amazing. It was still buzzling with life near midnight ON A WEEKDAY! This does not happen back in Singapore. Weekdays are dead in Singapore! Ate, drank, shopped and had massage at Khao San. One day, I will

go back there to do dreadlocks! A lot of caucasians do their dreadlocks there.

The next day we headed back for Singapore. Before we went to the airport, we went to TESCO, a huge gigantic supermarket, a must for every tourist to buy any necessities before heading back.

And on the plane back to Singapore Changi Airport, we poured powder on KS and Shuen while they slept soundly..haha.. They were totally knocked out.

Well..thats all! I will be planning a one month backpack trip next year soon, from HongKong to Cambodia, to Chiang Mai, to Bangkok, to KL.

Will be updating next February!
