Well, after a very very very very long flight from LAX to BKK, Dorine and I finally made it to Bangkok! Despite all the fears of it being hot, humid, rainy, and hot and humid, our first day was really nice and hot and humid. We spent today mostly in a car, but we did get to visit a temple and sit in a shady spot (pictures to come...) and go to a very not-backpacking type of mall. It's actually fancier than any mall I've been to in LA. Thais do not mess around when it comes to shopping! Tired, a little jet lagged and really full with yummy Thai food. More to come in a few days!
