A few weeks ago, my friends Miyuki and Calvin and I decided on a whim to spend the weekend at Sun Moon Lake (日月潭). One of many attractions at the Buli History-of-Alcohol museum. It consisted of a short hallway lined with fun-house mirrors, sporting a slanted floor. Only a little bit like being drunk. Even less like being in a house.

Covering practically every surface. The smallest were hardly bigger than ants, the largest were the size of a man's thumb. They scattered en masse at the slightest disturbance.
