Funny story...... After a crazy fun filled, Karaoke singing, boot stompin, sojo drinking crazy night out in the big city of Seoul with Jenni and my new friends Brooke, Rich and Jason, Jen and I attempted the 7am wake up. Seeings we didn't get to sleep until 5am, we didn't try to hard. So 10am came along and we decided we'd better get going to our hot spring destination near Changji. With a quick bite to eat we were on the bus by noon (I was still 1/2 cut, only to have the hangover later). We arrived in Changji about 2 1/2 hours later and we needed to transfer to get to Suanbo, where the hot springs were. Soooo close, only 21km away actually; we jumped on the bus and were off. Dusk. Moving Sillouettes on the other side of the glass. Inside the train it could be any world out there- any temperature, any climate. Any place with trees. Right now, it is the DOminican Republic, and I am headed for the beach. Then the song changes in my headphones and it is Canada, and I am headed home to you... Lights. Miles of endless city. Now I remember- I am headed to Busan. Beach. Romantic, despite the figid air. At least it is from this side of the glass...in my mind. Gyeong-Ju:Hanging out and enjoying the sights

Well, another long weekend and off on an adventure korea tour! We went to Gyeong-Ju (south east of Seoul). The attractions are Mt Namsan. A very popular mountain for climbing with a great view of Sillas cultural properties. About 2 hours up and down. There are many Buddist tombs and Shrines you can find in the mountains and preserved in the area. The temples are beautiful as the builders or I guess designers have been known for their craftsmanship. We stayed in a beautiful HOSTEL- well it didn't seem like a hostel. I wonderful group of people went on teh tour and yes many Canadians, but many Europeans this time as well. Sick of Seoul we took a trip down south to the ancient city of Gyeongju, it was Korea's first capital under the old Silla empire and a welcome change from the hustle of the modern day capital. I'm glad we did as we have now seen the other side of South Korea, and it's beautiful. We also used the bus for the first time on our trip this year, well versed in flying and jaunting about on a train this was a little bit different. The buses were total luxury, there were only 3 seats in each row, a 2 and a single seater, and they were like first-class airline seats, big padded leather numbers with a total recline and leg-rest capacity, sweet as bro.
