Luckily we have had a free mobile phone to use while we are here, I locked myself out of the Salary Sacrifice last night, but this morning rang ANZ and all fixed with a new password.
Wanted to take it easy today knowing we fly tomorrow at 10.45am so we did not leave the Hotel until 11am, catching a taxi to the Gardens by the Bay to see the Flower Dome. As we approached the ticket counter a teacher approached us with a heap of tickets she bought for her students that did not work out, so was selling as many as she could. We picked up a ticket each for $10 and saved $20 between us.
The Flower Dome was beautiful but not as good as the Forest Dome and we spent some time having a look around, then for $16 we took a Audio Tour of the Gardens by the Bay the tram ride took 20 minutes. We went through gardens that were dedicated to specific countries like Indian Garden, Chinese Garden, Malay Garden and Colonial Garden. Then on to Discovery, Web of Life, Fruits and Flowers, Understorey and World of Palms, just incredible what
they have done and what they are now building in Bay East, bigger and better then what we saw in Bay South.
We have enjoyed the Gardens by the Bay the most, out of the whole of Singapore, just an awe inspiring place and after the tour had a better understanding of how they managed to pull this off in 6 years. Water for the plants is harvested on sight by the Super Trees and filtered through the reed beds and flower beds and furtilised by the fish ponds then recycled. The Super Trees collect the water and use it to water the plants as well as having their own solar in order to be able to have the light display every night for free. The Super Trees also have a restaurant and obversation walk, we will definately visit this place again it is truly amazing.
A taxi bought us back to the Hotel and we decided to have a swim, needing drinks and something for tea we hit Raffles underground and now quite used to it, finding a great Sushi Bar which we both love. Bought Sushi for tea, beer for sustenance and I changed $100 for $104.60 Sng ready for
LA Famille De Voyageurs
(A travelling family) depicts a family visiting the Gardens by the Bay before heading to the airport for their journey home. As they depart this tropical garden city, they take with them beautiful memories and leave a part of themselves behind. tomorrow.
Time for a swim and it was Happy Hour buy one get one free, which was $17.65 for two beers. Mick was not keen to leave the pool so we had three drinks each and he enjoyed the scenery, plus one of the blisters is still quite bad and the cloureen helps to dry them out. My skin has also broken out in small blisters and the pool helps dry them out as well, couple of old crocks the both of us.

Booked out of the Carlton Hotel at 7.30am and caught a taxi to the airport, catching a plane back home with Singapore Air, at 10.45am within half an hour our cases were booked in and we had breakfast. Very good trip home, felt like we ate the whole time with lunch and tea provided plus peanuts and ice-cream during the trip. Arrived in Melbourne at 9.30am and at 1045 made our way back to Yarram, getting home at 1.30am.
