Left Yarram at 5.20pm, on the 31st March, to stay the night in Melbourne near the Airport, great trip down with traffic light all the way through.

Left this morning at 11.20am for Hong Kong, new city we have not experienced, two weeks away and really looking forward to the break from work.
Great flight with Quantas with free movies the latest, heaps of choice and Mick and I watched three movies each, Hackshaw Ridge, Lion, Room and a couple of others. Fed and watered frequently and we had seats at the exit which meant we could stand at anytime. The Airport train took us to Kowloon then we caught a bus to the Hotel.
The Dorset Mongkok is in an area which is pretty old, comfortable enough and a courtesy bus takes us anywhere we need to go.
2nd April, 2017
We caught a free Air port bus at the Hotel and they dropped us at Kowloon Station then caught the train to Hong Kong Station, walked a lot finally found our way to the Central Pier 7 and bought a three day ticket on the Big Bus which you could hop on hop off at any stop.
Big Red Bus
Our transport to the Victoria Peak and Aberdeen We made our way to Stanley a beautiful area on the coast with a great market, good eating, music and picked up two suitcases, and three hand bags buy one get one free, not sure how we were going to get the cases on the Big Bus but we had to leave and managed to get back to the hotel eventually. The day on the Big Bus took us around the Hong Kong Island and gave us a good idea of what we want to see tomorrow, legs and back were aching not as fit as we thought. Found a local place we had tea, not a good idea pretty ordinary but could not find anything else except McDonalds on our corner of the street.

Set off for Kowloon Station then took the train to Hong Kong Station, caught the Red Bus and hopped off at Aberdeen a Fishing port with the boat people providing us with a ride on a Sampan which was amazing to see, so many people living on the water in their boats. The Hong Kong government have tried to convince them to move onto the land but the older residents have chosen to
Hong Kong from Victoria Peak
Unfortunately the smog prevented a better photo stay on the water, their heritage truly amazing to see.
We then caught the Big Bus to the Peak Tram, what an experience, we have never seen ques like this, but tomorrow is a public holiday here and it would have been double the amount of people. Caught the Tram to the top of Victoria Peak and had a good look around, lunch at a Japanese restaurant, very nice and the view was of the whole of Hong Kong unfortunately the smog was pretty bad so difficult to see over to the other islands.

We have had three big days so decided today to take it easy and slept in taking our time, had a hair cut but all hair dressers and Barbers have refused to cut Mick's beard? Cannot find out why but must have something to do with their culture. We took the courtesy bus to the Lady's Market and found some really good bargains, came back to the Hotel for a nap and met in the lounge at the hotel with four people from Pakenham for a few drinks which was good. They all arrived two nights ago and we met up outside having a cigarette!

Miss P Beer at Capo
Had a pizza last night and the beer was served in goblets! The pizza was very nice. Courtesy Bus to the China Terminal for tea at Capo, very nice but expensive and the weirdest thing happened on our way through the Terminal. A heap of Chinese one after the other held onto Mick and Myself taking photos of us with them! Strange....
