We woke during our first night in Singapore to the crash of thunder. Looking outside the window of our budget hotel @ Fragrance - Crystal, the rain was relentless. Our arrival in Singapore had gone smoothly enough, the storm setting in once we had settled into our accomodation for the night around 12.30am. We hailed a cab after clearing customs and made the 20 minute drive to our hotel. We elected to bypass the prostitutes on the end of our street and head straight to sleep. The room served its purpose, clean and relatively comfortable with glamorous view of an alley under construction..Our next step is to make our way to the Harbourfront to board a two night cruise to Kuala Lumpur and back.These first entries will likely be without photos as my tablet does not have a USB slot or standard memory card slot. I will have to seek a solution with an adaptor or upload photos at a PC. Entries may come in bulk when a (ideally free) wifi source becomes available.
