For the first time on our trip, my roomie was up earlier than me. She took off early for a day tour since she was staying in bangkok for a few days. We said goodbye and then I packed up the rest of my things then headed to BKK. I felt like a seasoned pro going to the airport, like I knew where I was going! Flight to Singapore was good on Air Asia. So weird...Air Asia planes have misters in them...not sure what they are for. I thought it was smoke at first! Right now I'm at my hotel waiting for my room. A little peeved because it's 3:30pm. It's raining ugh! Pouring buckets. There are other people from the tour already here...I hope the are fun! Walked around Little India and ate at The Banana Leaf Apolo...YUMMY! I got a little intimidated because there was too much to choose from. Ended up with the chicken tikka and some butter nala bread--->YUM and YUMMER! It was all so delicious. Walked around for a bit and found a supermarket to pick up some essentials. I don't really know what to do around here...not so impressed with Singapore so far. They
say it's a "fine city" ...you get tickets for doing anything and everything. I didn't feel like making the effort to go out so I just bought a small bottle of wine and hung out in my room and went to bed early. There are no good tv channels either boooo....watched the making of avatar and fell asleep early.

Surprisingly I slept all night after my mini bottle of wine and xanax. Did not hear any of the mosque chanting. Decided to be adventurous and took the subway and bus to Sentosa Island to check out Underwater World to see the pink dolphins. Kinda sucked because there was no dolphin this month. Did not care to see the stupid fur seals that they had in their place. The exhibit was so small that you could zip through it in 20 minutes. Saw a couple of cool things like the jelly room. Barely saw the actual pink dolphins. They had some that were out in the lagoon, but these were the reject ones that were mostly grey with some pink spots...that's not what we paid for! So boring! Took the train to china town to grab lunch and that
sucked too because I could have gotten food poisening. When I bit down into my chicken I noticed that it was really mushy and then realized none of it was cooked! GROSS! I just kept thinking that I was going to get Salmonella.
I really don't like Singapore and I'm glad that we leave tomorrow. All I see here is Little India and China Town....is there an actual Singapore-ish culture here? All it is is buildings and city. It's like being in Hong Kong/San Diego. I really don't see a reason to back for vacation. It would be cool if you're a business person I guess. Food and drinking is way to expensive. Tried to get a manicure but it would cost $25 USD...I'll just wait until I get home to pay that amount and at least I'll know that the tools were clean. Shoohhht, in orange county I can get a french pedicure, massage chair, and include tip for $25...they are crazy in singapore.
Met with my group. The majority are not fun looking as the last group 😞 I hung out with the Aussie girl and she is cool, I'm sure we will drink our way through Malaysia...hopefully. We took the train to check out Clarke Quey. We were going to have a drink there, but it was too expensive. Came back to our hotel and went to the backbacker bar. Had a horrible concoction drink that tasted like syrupy fruit gatorade. What a waste of $S5.
Singapore is too expensive so I really didn't do anything or buy stuff. It costs more here than in the states for EVERYTHING. PS this new room I had to move to is not good. Trip advisor rating went way down. Nice people, yucky rooms in the Perak Hotel (Little India). It's more noisy tonight, hence I will need 2 xanax pills.
