Rain Dampened the Tourism in Singapore

Tour Day 100-102 – With only two full days in Singapore, I decided a two-day ticket on the Hop-On, Hop-Off Bus was the most efficient use of my time. I planned to take a cursory overview on each of the two bus routes on Thursday and return to visit the “best of the best” the following day. I checked the weather forecast and found the familiar, “Houston, we have a problem.” The accuweather.com forecast: Thursday – Cloudy; a shower in spots this morning followed by heavy showers this afternoon; Friday – Cloudy; a thunderstorm in parts of the area in the morning followed by periods of rain and a thunderstorm in the afternoon; Saturday (the day I board the ship) – Cloudy with a couple of drenching showers. So much for Plan A! Although the skies were overcast but not threatening, I decided to take a walk at midday on Thursday through the surrounding neighborhood and maybe visit the Porsche showroom just down the street. I got about 50 meters from the hotel entrance, and, yup, it started to rain, and it increased in intensity with every step. My next venture from the hotel was at supper time and the streets were saturated from recent rainfall. The forecast held true, and I was "washed out!"
