Quick entry with no photos - sorry. We left Indonesia for Singapore on the 21st of March. Third country so far. Singapore is different, feels a bit more like Western Europe than Asia, actually feels more advanced and modern than Western Europe. Singapore is nice. You can drink tap water here, there is no possibility of food born illness, there is no and I mean NO litter and despite all these nice things the city still has a heart beat. There is a lot of ethnic diversity here and some very interesting Ethnic neighborhoods.

We have explored the neighborhood where we are staying, Little India as well as the Arab Quarter, Chinatown, Orchard Road (major shopping street), the Botanical Gardens and many other parts of this interesting little place. Best description we can come up with is "this place is really nice."

Off tomorrow for Malaysia. We can only afford 2 days of nice - both literally and figuratively. That's it for now.

Singapore
Hi Alyssa and Andrew, nice message. When I worked with the Intel folks, they always said nice things about Singapore when they went there. I knew an Intel manager who went there on a business trip, met a nice lady, divorced his wife in California, and moved there. Wouldn't recommend that, but I guess I can see how that could happen. Have fun on your travels..
