The next morning we had a fabulous breakfast! Cereal, toast, fruit and whatever else you wanted! Then we went to the pool and had a swim... Before moving to the other pool- we were just being ladies of leisure! Then we had lunch I had tomato soup which I hadn't had since the uk! Then I'm the afternoon a storm came in so we bought a box of cookies and made some tea in our room. I uploaded some photos while Nikki napped. Then we went for dinner and Nikki went souvenir shopping before she returns home! When we got back friends was on TV! We had more bed cake from the chef - I'm going to miss living in luxury!
The following day we has breakfast and then went snorkelling with our guide, Charlie. We were out for about an hour - I used my underwater camera for the first time while snorkelling! It's quite hard to get a good photo with the current and fish moving haha when we got back we went paddle boarding- although it wasn't a real paddle board! It was fun though. We sunbathed for a bit after and swam in the pool... Then we
showered and checked out. Then we got picked up and I got dropped at my new hostel and said bye to nikki 😞 my next hostel had a pool too so I swam there and sunbathed until dinner time. I went down to the beach, had dinner and watched a fire show.
Went down the beach again for breakfast and booked a trip for tomorrow. Got a massage on the beach for an hour and then sunbathed for a bit but it got a bit windy so I went back to the pool. Went for dinner and had a really nice lasagne, then chatted with a couple in the hostel. I had to get an early night though.
Was up at 5.30 - far too early for me! I got the boat to Oslob which is in Cebu (the next island over!) I met 2 English girls, Lois and Emma and a German guy, Marius. We were in a group. We had quite a wait but then we got our boat out and had half an hour to snorkel with the whale sharks... The set up there was a little strange but it was still really fun! The whale sharks
are huge but really gentle. You have to stay 4m away in case they move their tail suddenly and catch you! We took some photos and watched them. The journey back took ages and I was back at 4- exhausted! So I showered, had dinner and had an early night.
The next day I got my boat to Cebu to meet Georgina. It all ran incredibly smoothly- boats were on time and prices were fair- it was a little strange I think this is the first journey in Asia where everything has been on time haha I was reunited with Georgina YAY we had a catch up and watched toy story 3, she was a little tired so we chilled before going out for dinner. The shopping centre we went to was huge and we got pretty lost!
The next morning we got some snacks for our journey to Malapascua. The bus journey was cheap and took 5 hours- the road was a little rough in places (see photo... I don't think we can complain about potholes in England again haha) when we go to the port we were told we had an hour wait for a boat but 5
mins later we were on our way. We had to swap to a smaller boat as it was low tide and were driven to shore by a 7 year old haha then we had a delightful moped ride to our hostel wearing our backpacks- a new experience! The hostel was really nice and had a good communal area. We had a nice dinner and then someone out frozen on :o after that we were pretty tired from travelling so we booked a dive for the next day before going to bed.
We had a fairly early start. Georgina had to do a refresher course for diving and then we went to a dive sure called lapus lapus. My divemaster was really nice, called Ronel. We saw quite a lot lion fish, catfish, ghost pipe fish... We also saw a dead fish being eaten by other fish!! When we finished the dive we sunbathed by the pool... It was so hot we were in and out of the pool every ten minutes! In the evening there isn't much to do, it's a quite island so we just watched a film.
