April 29, 2006. Finally, I was able to go to Puerto Galera. It was a good trip, a good break from work. I went to PG over the long Labor Day weekend with few friends from office. Then Roy called me up telling me if I could join them in PG. It was all good, 2-in-1 na trip. We had a terrible trip going to PG. We were at Batangas Pier at around 10am, and we got a trip for 2pm. Our boat scheduled to leave at 2pm got delayed by 2 hrs, and it was almost Sundown Saturday when we got there. But what the heck, nothing can burst my bubble. The beach somewhat calms me down, even if there are a lot of people. We had our "lunch" at around 5pm, with Kebabs and fried whatever-is-swimming-in-the-sea. We swam a little, then again hit the restos for dinner. We had dinner by the beach at around 10pm, then met with the TNM (it was only Roel, Duds, Roy, Rekkie and Balot). It was fun catching up with friends. I terribly miss them. After the chika, we went to sleep to catch the sunrise (not! hehe). The next day, it was our activity day.
We went snorkling, and PG corals are far better than Boracay's or Calatagan's. I had a blast! We held on the "katig" (ano tawag nun sa english?) of the boat and went for a spin for around an hour. The boat took us to different corals and nurseries. Sarap talaga! Then after that was a free for all swim sa mga corals. It was so beautiful. We spent the entire morning boating and snorkling. Then at lunch time, we rode the banana boat. All of my companions haven't tried it yet, so it was more exciting! Sarap pag nahuhulog sa boat, and nahahagis sa gitna ng dagat! After the exciting banana boat ride, we went for lunch. Then we had siesta for a little bit, went shopping for pasalubongs and then went to dinner. At dinner, we saw a lot of people that we know, from Manny's high school classmates in Pisay, to my former officemates and some other officemates as well. Sobrang small world talaga. It was our last night so we stayed up late. Then Monday was our last day, we just went for breakfast then rode our boat na. So that was my Puerto Galera experience. Ang itim ko after. 😊
