Dancing in a gaijin clubDancing in a gaijin clubDancing in a gaijin club

This is Crystal (Kiwi) me and Vivi (amazon) dancing in a club for foreigners during the gaidai party
Saturday we went to a Gaidai Party in Osaka City. It starts late at night, and from Minoo, if you go to Osaka, expect that you'll be staying all night in the city, since the subway closes at 12.We got over the party at around 2 am and because it was really cold, we decided to camp out in a convenience store.

The people who left the party were me, Crystal, Travis, Sophie, Viviane, Shelly and Philip. After getting supplies from the convenie, we went to this building in construction with a stair case, we hanged out on the staircase and told stories etc. We saw a parking rope at the side of the street and decided to use it for playing skipping rope and this game, i forgot the name, limbo rock?, when you bend your back to get under the rope and the rope gets lower and lower and its harder to bend back. Japanese people were staring at us coz we did look stupid, playing with a parking rope at the side of the street at 3 in the morning.

At around 6, we decided to go to the train station to leave Shinsaibashi

This is the staircase of a construction site we found where we spent the wee hours away
(thats where the party was held) We decided, instead of going back to Minoo, we might as well stay in Osaka and see more stuff. We went to Osaka Business City first to go sight seeing. We went to The Crystal Tower. It was really a big tower and it was really made of glass . It was really pretty but we couldnt go in because it was Sunday so the building was closed.

We went to Osaka Castle and Osaka Park after that. The castle was pretty too but we couldnt go in coz we didnt bring our student pass. If we had that we could enter for free, without it we had to pay 600 yen. After that we saw the Chrysanthemum garden. The flowers were super big! as in they were probably bigger than my face!

After that, we heard some drums playing so we followed the music and we saw this Japanese traditional drums group practicing in the park. We sat down and listened to them and they seemed happy to see gaijins (foreigners) listening to them. In the middle of playing a japanese music (and shouting Yore! Yore!) they walked

towards us with their drums and asked us to play some music. we just hit the drums coz we didnt know what we were doing, but that was really fun. The park was so cool coz there were all these families going to the park just to spend time. It was really nice.

After that, we went to Umeda, this shopping district coz Philip, a maple student from Austria, wanted to check out Archery shops coz he's joining the western archery club, which apparently is cheaper than kyuudo (Japanese archery).

When we got to Umeda, it was amazing coz there were so many people!!!! From the train station to the depaato, there were just so many people!!!!

We saw the section where they sell cakes. and it was amazing coz they sell cakes like they were jewelry or expensive watches. As in they were on glass cases exactly like the glass cases in jewelry stores and then when you buy it they put them in these really luxurious boxes like watch boxes, and they put an ice pack on it and put it in a paper bag with tissue paper (similar to

a signature brand paper bag) It was so amazing! And the cakes looked so scrumptious. We were just walking from one stall to another drooling over the cases and Im sure those Japanese people were thinking "stupid gaijins" but it was so "sugoi!"

Some of us bought cakes and we took photos of the cakes and photos of them eating it. We ate the cakes and they were soo good, too bad they were so expensive. hehe, but next time I'll probably buy one, For the box and the paper bag. hehe

When we got back, it was already 4 pm and i was just so tired for not sleeping a whole night so i just fell asleep, totemo tsukareta kedo sugoi tanoshikatta! It was a pretty cool day
