Day Seven - Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130 metres) - 900 metre ascent Today was the final day of ascent as we went from Deurali to Machapuchare Base Camp and then on to Annapurna Base Camp. There were lots of Buddhist prayer flags and monuments on the top. These were to commemorate people who had died on the mountain or celebrate people who had climbed the mountain.

After a hard walk to ABC, we had lunch with a view... although the photographer forgot to include the mountains behind us!

Whilst we were catching our breath, the locals were playing volleyball at 4,000 metres!

One minute the clouds would cover everything and then disappear again to unveil the amazing view once again.
