Newly Engaged
Nat has a slightly red nose after she shed a few tears... of happiness of course! We were on day 7 of our trek and had just climbed to Annapurna Base Camp at 4,130 metres, our highest point of the trek. After some lunch and tea we decided to climb a bit higher to find the best views. We got to the edge of a glacier where a sheer drop provided the most amazing and beautiful views of the entire Annapurna Range. We were totally surrounded by blue sky and mountains and all around us were Buddhist prayer flags and monuments, a truly spectacular location.
I knew there wouldn’t be any place on earth which could match the sheer beauty of this place, it was perfect...
We celebrated with a small bottle of whiskey and Coke whilst sitting on the edge of the glacier and taking in the view. We knew we wouldn’t be able to tell anyone for a few days so just enjoyed our little moment together before returning to the tea house and celebrating with new friends.
