The Golden triangle, Kl

We arrived in KL in the middle of a downpour with no idea where we were. Half and hour into the rain we decided to grab a cab to the golden triangle district where there were supposed to be lots of backpackers.......but this was not going to be as easy as the lonley planet described! An hour of walking with packs up and down streets drenched to the undies, we found trekkers lodge on a street starting with P. Later learned this was again the city's red light district....again.... went out and ate at night markets (see pics)....

Left at crack of dawn for airport and flew to Kota Kinabalu to meet Bal's mummmy...
