Malaysia is covered completly in oild palms which are seen from the window, go on forever...
We took an early flight to Kota Kinabalu or KK as it is known here.

We called Bal's mum Rena and said hi we are here! sorry we arrived unannounced, but Rena was very happy to come and pick us up from the airport.

first impressions of KK were wonderful the people here are amazing....

Spent one night with Rena at her new house, which has just been built in the hills, the second day we went to her local market and she showed us the true art of bartering.

Stayed a night in KK city house with Rena, then caught a vey fast bumpy, winding bus to Sandakan.

pictures of KK below and Rena's house for Bal to see......

Pip's case of Pharaoh's Curse!!
(Not sure if I spelt Pharaoh right) Pip heard you have been not well with both ends going. I see in one photo you bought some of the local seafood - beware if your'e not sure of the cleanliness of the water don't touch it. Eat stuff thats hot, fruit you can peel or wash well with bottled water and drink lots of water. Can you get your hands on some alcohol stuff to wipe your hands with and it dries instantly. Hope you two keep well and continue having the great adventures your'e dooing and seeing and keep safexxxx
