The longest journey of our lives so far - Tongatapu-Auckland(overnight in airport)-Melbourne(re-routed)-Singapore(stayed for one day/night)-Kuching - ended with minds and bodies intact and all bags present and correct, remarkably enough. Our guides, the local children, had a few problems starting up a fire and after several attempts we had to give them a hand.

We were invited into a house for drink and noticed an amazing collection of home-made models of traditional homes from different tribes in Borneo. This is one of about eight.

We felt extremely lucky to see Lion dance, which a week later became an every day event due to the Chinese New Year celebrations.
