Yesterday, the island received news that the "dog hunters" were here. To start off there are many stray dogs around the island and some cause grief here, as they are known as the "jungle dogs". But some have become the house dogs of some chalets and businesses around here. There is at Nazri Nipah, Kumba, Fifi and her little brother. The cutests dogs you've ever seen. Just happy little things that follow you around. The staff at Nazri's were determined that Kumba and Fifi's brother were not gonna get shot by the hunters. Everyone kept a good eye on them yesterday to make sure they wouldn't wander away. These hunters do not follow the pet rule.. it just doesn't exist. Even if the dog is chained or has a collar, they shoot to kill and that's it. Just doing their jobs. Well woke up this morning to the sad news that Kumba and the little one wandered off following some tourists to the beach were unfortunately they got caught, well... shot. It's not a very happy place as Nazri's as most people got attached to these dogs and are pretty much devastated. No smiles here today. There's nothing that can be done but just accept it, but when you're not used to this type of "dog cleansing" if you wanna put it that way, it's just hard to take in.

Yesterday was a little more productive of a day, well sorta. Got up a little earlier (10am), yeah I know, not that early, but here it is. Didn't do much in the a.m. had breakfast and then headed back to the cottages adn lounged around the hammocks. Finally decided to head to the beach with Netty and Johan at around 4:30pm.. LOL. Headed back then Johan and I decided that we'd go get some groceries and cook dinner for the others at Nazri's. We grabbed a teksi (taxi) to town (Pangkor), but I guess we were too late as everything was closed... oops, the lazy lounging days were you have no concept of time. So we just decided to go eat at a local "restoran" which Johan had been to before, really good grub. Finally got some money so I can someway leave the island.. whenever that will happen... still "maybe tomorrow"... We headed back to the cottage and brought everyone their requests from town. It was a pretty chill night, very quiet. Had a few beers, then decided to go get some snacks but we got there too late as the vendor was closing shop. So we decided to go sit on the beach. I suddenly when into a time warp... They have these big swings hanging from the trees on the beach and I decided to swing away. It was like warping back to when I was 8 years old and just swung trying to reach the stars for like 30 minutes. I can't explain to you that moment of complete and utter freedom, it was really weird. Swinging trying to go as high as you can facing the ocean in the darkness, waves crashing away, a ship in the distance and lighting illuminating the sky from far away. No thoughts going through your head, no stresses, nothing. Just complete freedom. A 28 year old child, having so much fun, doing something so simple as swinging on seaside swing. You must try it someday if you have the chance, it's amazing... Ah the good life... now how in the world can I go back to sitting in a office working 8 hours a day when I'm living this wonderful stress free life???? Someone please tell me?! LOL

Ok well that's it for today. Once again nothing to exciting but just some thoughts and things I wish all of you could experience at one point. C'mon! Just jump on that swing and go for it, I promiss you'll love it!
