Hello!!! An 11 hour 'air con' bus journey later and we were in Penang Malaysia. We stayed on Love Lane in Georgetown which is the oldest part of Penang. We were staying at the Reggae Hostel in dorms for the first 2 nights they were so cool you get your own little pod with curtains so it is like a tiny room. They were really good because you get more privacy but it did make it harder to meet people because you never really see anyone. All of the staff in the hotel were so nice and helpful they gave us loads of advice. On our first day we went on a tour around Georgetown which just included a lot of historical building but we got bored after a few of the buildings and took a detour to a massive shopping centre!!! It was huge it had 7floors and a cinema :-) Georgetown is really quiet and there really isn't much more to do except see the sights but we did find that everything was really cheap. On our second day we checked into a nice hotel and then we back to the shopping centre again it was far too big to cover in one day haha!! Then at night time we went to little India to another restaurant called Kapitan that had been recommended to us which was also really good and we then went to a little Reggae bar, they were totally crazy about Bob Marley!! On on our last day yesterday in Penang we went to the Hard Rock Cafe for lunch which was really cool but soooo expensive!! and then we went for a nosy in the hotel which looked amazing it had a waterpark and everything! We didn't really like Georgetown all that much it is very quiet and there is not a lot going on at all but we are on our way to Kuala Lumpur today very excited!!!! Love Katie & Michael X x x x x
