... with sunset views, fan and double bed, this $2.5 a night place overlooking the mekong was AMAZING.

I stayed in a little village, during this ceremony they spent quite a while giving gifts to the monks who seemed totally indifferent to it - which I think is part of being a monk

Good day walking through Sie Pan National Park. There are a few registered guides in the village and they take turns to share the money evenly. They just take the day off from their regular jobs.

Quite heartbreaking display of landmines dropped by the US for 9 years on Loas which still today climb lives and limbs as villages uncover the mines
