Well where do I start..? Erm, with Whiskey buckets for breakfast I think. We headed to Friends Bar for a warm up drink and some toast. The Laos Whiskey is really nice over here mixed with Red Bull and Coke or Lemonade - I usually hate Whiskey back home. Went to the Tubing office and paid for the Tube rental and a deposit, and they packed us off in a Pick-up Taxi to the start of the River. The idea of Tubing is that you float down a river in a Rubber Inner Tube to get to various bars along the way. They also have zip wires and swings for people to fly off into the sky and into the water. Got chatting to some people in the taxi who'd been Tubing the other day - they said it was brilliant and described some of the big Zip wires. Suddenly I was pretty nervous!
We were given a Whiskey shot as soon as we got out of the taxi, and headed off to get buckets from the first Bar. Spotted Joe and Tim who we'd shared a minibus with yesterday, so we joined them and they introduced us to two guys
(Ollie and Ben) from "Manchester". Turned out they were from Bramhall and Prestbury and knew my best mates' brothers: Joe Mc and Jack. Small world.
The swings were sooo high and I was terrified. Got in our Tube and floated to bar number two which was wild, loved it! Everyone was dancing on platforms and spraying fizzy drinks everywhere. Chatted to some guys from Israel and Ellie plucked up the courage to shoot down a Zip wire with one of them. This particular Zip had a knot at the end with the intention to flip you off. Ellie's so brave!
The third bar was pretty chilled out so we sat sunbathing, watching everyone float down the river. At the forth we bumped into Joe, Tim, Ollie and Ben again and ended up playing Volleyball in the mudpitt which was so much fun. It stank and we were filthy!
Memory starts to get a bit hazy after this. We got picked up in a TukTuk and headed home to get showered, then we met up with the boys again in a few local bars. At some point we drank a drink with Magic Mushrooms in, and I remember leaving the crowd
to dance round a fire with Ellie while the flames blazed. Started to feel really tired and dizzy so went to lie down in a Hammock (that are dotted round the outside of the big open bar). Was completey tripping out but somehow Ellie got us home and I watched the fan on our ceiling turn in to a Pigs face. The shadows cast on it looked like a Monkeys body, which I know sounds ridiculous, but Ellie could see exactly the same thing! Then a huge spider ran across my pillow (this really happened, I wasn't hallusinating) and I burst in to tears. Rang my Mam who was able to calm me down and made me feel safe again. Found it really difficult to sleep but when I did my dreams were pretty cool.
