Well I finally finished my mt. biking trip through Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan and while it was a very tough trip, it was one of the best trips I’ve ever done. I really had a great time! This blog is so my friends and family can track my journey from the west coast of Asia to the southern tip Africa. The idea behind this journey started in a bar in Shanghai last year. Crazy old guy we met on the trail

This crazy guy came out running when he saw us and kept asking us if the Russian's were invading the Caucasus...said he heard it on the radio. We laughed and assumed he must nuts or listening to radio prodcats1953! We assured him that NO the Russian's were not invading anyone...it's the 21sy century now, the era of soviet aggression is gone. He thanked us and then wanted to take us home for tea and teach us how to make honey...he was very happy to hear the radio was wrong!

After finishing the trip we did our best for international relations again and played twister with some Russians (who we still believed were not invading people!!)

Hi there! Nice to read from you! I guess I can support with the Logistics part of the French Alps Tour now that you are ready for it!! Riding up l'Alpe d'Huez after the Col du Lautaret should be "peanuts" now! Cheers Sophie
