Mc Donald's hot cakes for breakfast.... Yeah
The weather was miserable. Cold and Wet. It was a constant drizzle.
Shinagawa. That's where we stayed. We bought a ticket for the whole day. We stayed on the same green line and we plaed to do a full circle of Japan.
1st stop Shibuya.
Shops, shops and more shops. All the shops were still closed so we decided that we would return later at night.
Back in the train.
2nd stop Ueno.
Trains are so fast and clean. We had to have a hot drink, dry out and thaw out.
There is a great street market that follows the train line. We found a sporting place that sold seconds and samples. Kids had lots of fun foraging.
So many shops. Clothing and souvenirs but there was heaps of FISH.
Poor Luca just wanted to buy it all.
3rd stop Akihabara.
Computer street. Lots of young ladies all dressed just a little strange.
They all looked very cute but just a little disturbing at the same time.
There where lots of men lining up for something.... in a computer shop.
We just kept walking......
Did lots of shopping.
4th stop Shinagawa.
We needed to go back to the hotel
to download all of the shopping and rest for a few hours.
5th stop Shibuya. (again)
It was so much better at night with all the lights. There where so many more people and it stopped raining.
We had to eat. We found a place where you ordered yourself from the screen. OK. It was in English and there where pictures. We ordered and ordered. When the food arrived the servings where all very small but we enjoyed it all.
Back to Shopping.
Serena was on a roll. She found so much stuff. So did Matthew but that's normal.
We where hungry again.
We found a sushi train. But this was a very different sushi train. It was a personal sushi train.
Each person was given a plastic card with a number on it. You sat at the computer with that number on it. Then each person had their own computer and ordered their own food. The great thing was that it arrived right in front of you. It was like magic. There where 3 different lines that the sushi could arrive on. It was fantastic. This was a real find. Sometimes you just have to try something crazy. Its called "UOBEI Genki Sushi Co." Brilliant. A Real piece
of JAPAN.
LOVED TOKYO.
