you can see the boiling emulsion.
Finally i get the chance to see a active vulcano in Japan. This one was very active from 1992 to 2002 and erupted several times. But now it was safe enough to look over the edge, because the poisoning smoke was blown to the nord site. It was an amazing experience to look in the crater and see the boiling blue kind of lava. All around the crater shelters where built for possible eruptions, making it even more exiting. Besides looking looking into the crater i made a hike around the area. The trail followed some old freezed lava streams and massive rock formations. After a day of exploring the area i took the train to Kagoshima.
