this kid is really nice! After lunch all the kids gathered to try and make fire the way the old Japanese people used to do it.

It's kind of shaped like a bow with a rotating dowel attached the the ropes. You twist it up and then push the bar down causing the dowel to spin against a piece of wood, pumping the bar up and down continually so the dowel keeps rotating...eventually the friction will cause hot ash to form.
