me and my tent
the nature camp site was right on the beach After the late evening of the exhbition i packed my backpack and took at 10 PM hours with david the boat from Tokyo to Kozushima. Kozushima is a vulcanic island in the pacific at 12 hours from Tokyo. We slept on the cheapest places, this was on the deck of the boat. In the morning we woke up with a view on the open sea with now and than an island. Around 10 AM we arrived at the island and where welcomed by blue dressed girls playing the drums after that we went straigth on to the wild campsite. I took my tent because it was free camping on the island. We placed our tent almost on the beach and went for a swim in the deep blue changing coloured water. I took diving glasses and went for some fish spotting, the water was soooo clear. During the first day we enjoyed swimming in the sea, walking around the village and going to a onsen (vulcanic bath) with an amazing view. In the afternoon we visited a temple where a festival was going on. The colourfull dressed local where carying a small pagode. They were singing and enjoyed the festival so
traditional music
as soon i arrived these girls started to play a wonderfull rythm much, it was a beautiful scenery. In the evening we cooked on the fire from drift wood we found on the beach. The second day we climbed in the early morning mount tenjo, the vulcano of the island. The top was covered in foggyness, which created a special atmosphere. The landscape changed from desert, to green, to tropical forest. On the way we heard and saw a lot of tropical birds, insects and butterflies. In the afternoon we went swimming, snorkling, relaxing and cooking again. After spending a second nigth we took the boat back, leaving this nature and relaxing island going back to the concrete and crowded place Tokyo....a big difference but i love both...😊
