I'm writing this from a regular train the Marine Liner 35, in the Green (or First Class) car. Not sure how I got put in first class but I'm not complaining. All it really means is nicer seats, but even regular isn't that bad. It's also a double decker car with me on the lower level which is kinda neat. Heading towards Shikoku Island. Looks Fantastic!
Just checking out your trip and really enjoyed your adventure so far! Wow! Looks like a fun jaunt. The Gion District looks magical as do all the temples. Great photos - thanks. Have a beer for me! Safe travels!

Great pictures of this beautiful city. Looks like there is a fair amount of wealth there. Like you said - where Japanese culture meets Urban Sprawl. Love the Manga pictures. Very interesting. Take care.
