Once we landed in Narita, the airport was so big that the plane had to park very far away. Then we had to WALK down the stairs out of the plane and onto the tarmac where buses picked us up and shuttled us to the main terminal.

Japan Customs was very little fuss, and not much wait at all. Then we took a domestic flight to New Chitose Airport in Hokkaido. We met a Virgin Airline pilot on the plane from Brisbane who was travelling to the exact same ski resort to meet his friends, so we found our way together. We ate quick dinner of noodles before our 6:30 pm plane to New Chitose.

Once in New Chitose it was starting to get very cold. We thought Narita was cold but in New Chitose there was snow all over the ground at the airport. You can feel its very cold as you walk down the airbridge out of the plane.

Once in New Chitose at about 8:30 pm we tried to find a bus company to take us to the ski resort. We walked up and down but eventually found a little place where a British guy was waiting and asked us where we were going. It happened to be the exact bus place (he happened to work for Nisekoso ground service, who help stupid tourists) we paid for our tickets and he said as the bus doesnt drop close enough to where we were staying he would take us (and our huge luggage) in his van to our ryokan (taditional japanese hotel).

Then we took the 2 hour bus to our ski resort.
