Sorry if this sounds like a traffic report

a) The main two religions are Christanity and Muslim
b) However 80percent of the population of Bali are Hindu
c) Moterbikes are the most comon form of transport
d) There are no traffic laws.
e) I've been told that the police are very open to being bribed if they pull you over for any reason
f) Every major junction or car park has an unoffical traffic warden. These peole will stop traffic to allow you out or back you into a parking space, even in an empty car park. They expect money off you for doing so.
g) On every major junction, traffic lights and even moterway, you will find people trying to sell you someting. Newspapers, gifts, drinks or fruit. You get a few musicans and beggars also looking for money.
h) The entire city of Jakarta is a one way system for cars.
i) Squat toliets are comon place. Most fast food place supply a flushing toilet. However the airport at Jogja didnt. It was funny watching many westeners dancing about there.
j) International tourists will pay 10times more for entry into most tourist site. The price will be displayed in US dollars
k) All Indonesia airplanes never leave on time.
l) The international airport in Jakarta is luxurious compare to the tin hut that is use for domestic flights. Bali and Jogja airports are just big empty fields in the countryside
m) You pay a 50,000rh and 100,000rh deptaure tax for domestic and international flights respectivly
n) I stuggled to adapt to the money system here. 1pound is 18,000Rh. If you convert 58pound you are a millionare
o) I was a multi millionare. Maybe a billionare, but my caluclator couldnt count that high
p) If using taxis, make sure you have lots of small change. Most claim they do not have enough change to give you money back and expect to keep it what you gave them. Some even tried to charge extra because they were waiting a long time for a fare. This is done to everyone, not just tourists.
q) Taxis are called Taskis.
r) When walking out the airport, expect to be ambushed by dozens of locals trying to get you to use there taxi. I'm going to make up a t-shirt if I ever go back saying "No Taskis, F#%@ Off"
s) Internet access is very hard to find
t) Dunkin Donuts and A&W are the biggest junk food outlets.
u) Jakarta is the fourth most densly populated place in the world
v)The no. of islands in Indonesia is estimated at over 1700
w) Everyone supports Man Utd and Liverpool.
x) Every ATM I saw was enclosed in a glass box
y) Hospitals are clean and efficant. I was seen to straight away and got my medicine within 10mins.
z) Be prepare to be stared at by everyone.
