On November 26 we woke at 4:10AM excited to be off for a hot break to Sanur, Bali. KAS celebrates American Thanksgiving so there was no school on Thursday and Friday. Everyone gets a 4 day weekend. It was very hot so we spent a bit of time relaxing and enjoying the breeze while sipping amazing coffee under the palapa.

There were money changers everywhere, which we found handy. Some but not all exchanged rupees for Taiwan dollars and the rates varied substantially.

That's what its called in English. There were many buildings and a small cave that held 3 statues where the local Hindu population worshipped.

The entrance made for a pretty picture. We were given saris to wear as it is inappropriate to show knees in a temple.

Many people were on their way to temples for worship. They were paying homage to the Goddess of Science and Technology. It was amazing how they could balance 5 and even 6 layers of baskets on their heads.

Most of the souvenirs available on the streets are featured here in this market. Aryana suggested he bring us here on the way to the airport, thereby avoiding the annoying street bartering as all prices are marked.

I think they're proud of their national beer, and its quite good. Tastes a lot like our Canadian Pilsner.

We really liked Bali and hope to return one day when we have more time to explore. There are many other places to go and things to see in this tiny country.
